Great work, great pods and great crosses. You have been a very busy and effective moth this summer. Is the glauca hybrids you had in bloom some of those from me?

We have 6 seedpods hanging on in our garden at the moment:

Yucca (filamentosa/flaccida complex "#BMJ#1402" [big "blue" form] x glauca, BMJ 1842B) X "Behan's Filata #5". (1842B x "Behan's Filata #5"). 1 seed pod.

Yucca filamentosa/flaccida complex "#BMJ#1402" [big "blue" form] X (filamentosa/flaccida complex "BMJ#1402" [big "blue" form] x glauca, BMJ 1842B) (BMJ 1402 x1842B), 2 seed pods.

Yucca filamentosa/flaccida complex "#BMJ#1402" [big "blue" form] X (constricta x filamentosa) Pollen from T. Behan, USA. (1402 x (constricta x filamentosa). 1 seed pod.

Yucca filamentosa (red flower stalk and buds) X (filamentosa/flaccida complex "#BMJ#1402" [big "blue" form] x glauca, BMJ 1842B). (BMJ 1336C x 1842B). 1 seed pod.

But they are far from ripe yet, the first two maybe ready in 4 weeks, I think.

nice to read from you and thanks for the compliments.
Yes, all the glauca hybrids are from you. It was a good
summer for moth. There are nearly 80 seedpots. I think
they will be ripe in 4 -6 weeks.

Great to see that the glauca hybrids from me are so productive.

You have close to 80 seedpods! That's a lot of seeds you will get out of those plants. My personal record is 77 seedpods and fruits in 2008 and 75 in 2010. The glauca hybrids may have up to 300 good seeds in each seedpod if they are pollinated with pollen from another Yucca clone, and up to 180 good seeds when pollinated with it's own pollen.

Hier mal die beiden überlebenden Kreuzungen von Dir aus dem Jahr 2011.


Yucca thompsoniana x gloriosa

Es ist die "größere" von zwei Pflanzen.
Die kleinere Pfl. hatte in diesem Frühjahr nach dem umtopfen sogar etwas zu kämpfen.
Wenn sie weiter so langsam wächst, wird es noch lange dauern bis ich sie vermehren kann.
Ich finde sie aber jetzt schon sehr attraktiv.


Yucca rupicola x flaccida

Die vordere Pflanze scheint etwas grüner zu sein.
Auf jeden Fall wachsen sie recht zügig.
War deine Y.rupicola eine "echte" ? Kannst Du sie noch einmal zeigen ?
Es gab hier ja mal die Diskussion das kaum welche im Umlauf sind.
