I have in my garden based on Suppliers 2 faxoniana. One is the imported plant coming to CZ from Tropical Center, the second was cultivated from import seeds in CZ, in Jiri Merhaut garden.

The import yucca survived 2 winters covered by geotextilie and preserved by temeration to –10 °C. I would like not to loose it by winterresistent experiment. It has nice and strong leafs with classic scrolled fibers. Down started last year to grow new “ Ableger “ . This year cca 12 new leafs.








The narrow leafs faxoniana (15 – 20 mm ) grows relative quickly, cca 25 – leafs this year. Strong and healthy plant, the rossete down is ca 8 cm. But the fibers on the leafs are not so regulary developed.. It survived 3 winters light covered against the snow by geotextile.










Is it possible that this narrow leafs faxoniana is MG 1984 hybrid ?.

thanks for your replay and opinion. I hope, if hybrid, the glauca as partner will be not so bad. Than we can expect good frost resistance and based on plant development, I suppose relatively quickly trunk growing.
