I spoke yesterday with Josef. He announced, winter is out and as an argument he sent me some photography. He decided this year to grow a big ovatifolia ( cca 70cm in diameter ) in winter outside, only covered with som textile. The lowest temperature in Josef garden was -16°C. Till now ovatifiolia looks like without damages. To confirm it, it needs some time.

I had in my garden short -20°C cc 2hrs peak and based on my experiences, I will wait with spring till start of march.

Hi Jiri..... They are some amazing plants that I would be proud of in my Garden. I would be interested to know how his Jubaea Chilensis coped with that cold weather?
