Hallo,

hier ist schon wieder alles weggebruzzelt und das ist auch gut so. Den Dezember kann ich für meine Region bereits abhaken.
Laut Prognose sind wir wieder im nasskalten Bereich ohne Nachtfrost. Bei Neuschnee besteht auch eher die Gefahr das etwas
abknickt, Frostschäden eher nicht.

hier sitzen Kälte und Schnee fest. Naja das übliche mit dem Kontinentalen Klima, halt ganzjährig stabiler mit seinen Vor und Nachteilen

Thomas, I’m following your garden here and on the other forum. Did you protect your T.takil? I’m very pleased with variety of true Mediterranean plants in your garden. How it behaves Pinus halepiensis in your local climate? I planted one small P. halepiensis this autumn in garden. Pinus pinea is full hardy here. What sp. is Agave in one of your picture? It looks like Agave macroculmis/gentryi. I lost my A. macroculmis in winter 2017.

Ich mag zwar ganz und gar nicht, wenn Väterchen Frost aus dem Osten die Herrschaft übernimmt, aber ich muss zugeben, so ein Exotengarten im weißen Gewand schaut einfach geil aus! 😎

Hi Mario,

I have one Takil which I never protect and it is doing fine. The big one was only planted out this spring so I will give it some heating below -10C so it can establish well. I lost a small Pinus halepensis about 15 years ago in an unusual cold blast, but those 2 are not even getting harmed on their needles when it goes down to -16C. They seem to have established very well. It is also very dry where they stand on the sand hill. I transplanted Agave macroculmis in 2017, so luckily none of them were killed. Now 1 is in a pot for backup and 3 are planted out.
