this is the first year for this Y. carnerosana/faxoniana. I assume it will survive if I keep it 'dry' during winter. In 2004 a large trunked Y. treculeana died even though I kept it dry. The low temperature in 2004 was -8F (-22.2C). Yucca rostrata survived the -22.2C.
my Y. linearifolia did survive -19°C but was seriousy damaged as my neighbour stepped on it in late summer. I took it out and planted it ito a pot and hope it will recover.
Most of December was very mild here and is nearly +5F warmer than 'normal'. The lowest temperature we had is -7.2C (19F). Keeping the Y. faxoniana/carnerosana dry will be very important. There is also a string of red lights inside the protection to keep it a little bit warmer. Some colder weather is coming soon but nothing which is too cold.

I saw that you survived the first snow storm. We had our first snow already in November but only for a few days. At the beginning of December temperatures went down to -9,5 °C but since that period we did not have temperatures below zero. All Yucca and Agave plants look really healthy.
By the way, a nice variegated Y. flaccida that you showed in the other posting. Do you know it's name?
I think the variegated flaccida is 'color guard' or 'garlands gold' but I'm not an expert with variegated Yuccas. I did not purchase the Yucca......a root was given to me.

The protection system is very good for keeping moisture off the Yucca but the projection does not provide much temperature protection. The Y. linearifolia and Y. carnerosana both died in the winter of 2013-2014 due to cold. The mini Christmas lights provided about 5F (2.8C) increase in temperature but this was not sufficient to keep them alive.
